Clayton Dancing:)

Ha, you know how when you really want a kid on film doing the cutest things?? && you never get it because when you whip out the camera they become more interested in it instead of the dancing and whatnot?

Well my friends, I finally got it. To the Jonas Brothers to be exact, my nephew, dancing:)

PoisonOak

If you haven't heard, I have poisonoak all over my face these days. && every morning that I wake up it has spread:( Which really sucks, because camp is Sunday!!

I went to the doctor yesterday though, and got some Prednizone (sp?). It's been working for Tyler, so I hope it works for me. The possible side effects made me slightly worried. Because if they are going to happen to anyone it's more than likely going to be me. Murphy's Law.

You may be wondering how I got it from Tyler? Well (no Chad we weren't "necking" behind the church). I didn't even touch him. I don't know what happened. Really. Tyler's doctor told him that it can't be transfered from one person to another, I beg to differ my friend. I didn't have it till Sunday & who was I around Sunday?? I do believe it was Tyler.

My doctor (well not my normal doctor, she's out of town, but the doctor I went to see) said that it's always a debate. It's never been actually proven. But he thinks that it can be if a person has been scratching and then touches someone else.

Either way, I have it & I haven't been around it, and I want rid of it!!
That's my PO update:)

Sorry

It's been a while, huh?
Sorry for the delay.
I've been using LiveJournal, which I really like.
I like this blog too, it just seems I can express more on LiveJournal.
No big deal.
I'll be back here soon.
I just don't have anything huge to blog about right now.
Hope all is well.
Camp is next week:)
Way excited!!!

Today started off rough & blahhh
BUT it ended so wonderfully:)

"Jamie!"

My name isn't Jamie anymore.
Just wanted to varify that:)
I've heard it too much today.

Friday, July 17, 2009

Haha, I had to post this:

Nikki, I posted this just for you. It covers both our obsessions:) Phineas & Ferb AND Batman & Robin:) Hahaha.. How cool is that?

Wordless Wednesday? Close but no cookie!

I have always wanted to do this, but then got busy and didn't. I have no good excuses.
So I finally memorized a verse for the 15th:)

"He giveth power to the faint & to them with no might he increaseth strength"
-Isaiah 40:29

A few weeks ago I was going through a hard time & I found this in that time. Isn't it amazing how God works like that? Gives you just what you need right when you need it.

I was going to do a wordless Wednesday today & that was going to be my picture but I had that verse.

&& I wanted to wish Jesse Carr a Very Happy Birthday!

Ventatious

New word. It's "ventatious" that means (in Jamie's head) that something is vent worthy on my blog:)

Camp is in two weeks & I'm super duper excited. I love camp. Everything about it. Minus the humidity & bugs:) I like it. You can go out of cellphone signal and into the woods and it's just God around you. It's amazing.

This year however, I do believe there will be a weelittleteensy bit of drama. I mean I can deal. Because it's not mine. But I want it to stop when it starts because we aren't at camp for girlfriends and boyfriends. Do people not get that?!?! I stopped some last year. These kids were younger than me by a few years and my friend came up to me crying about this boy and her friend blah blah blahhh and I got the girls together (in her group) and I sat them down and I was like "Y'all you really need to stop this rumor this rumor that. It's not what camp is about. We came up here to get away from stuff like that. I don't care what boys you like here, call them when you get home. Camp is about getting closer to God and learning all you can about Him." I was just tired of it. They respected me for it and as far as I know the drama stopped and I actually got to lead one of the girls to the Lord that week. ( I was so nervous when I did that because me and her didn't really get along that good ).

This year, I honestly will not put up with it. I refuse. This isn't a weekend get away with your boyfriend. It's camp. About JESUS & GOD!! Come on people!! Get with it.

Of course if any starts and my patience totally runs out (I have a pretty long fuse) I will say my peace.
Nicely of course:)

Diane Carswell

Recently a woman in our church, Jo Gouge, died. It was around Tuesday I believe. It was after years of declining health. & today @ the funeral her daughter just broke my heart. & made me think about "what if my mom died?". I would be devistated & I'm not sure how I would live. I know we get in fights and whatnot (what teenage girl and her mother don't?) however, I know that if I can't count on anyone else in the world, I can count on her. She will be my mom & my best friend above all others. I'm sure I'll realize this more once I move out and we can get even closer but since that is years and years from now I must try to make it work now.

A little about my mom:

She was born October 7, 1960 to Irene & Roy Carswell. She grew up on Rob Carswell Rd off Enola. About two years ago they tore down the house she was raised in (my aunt lived in it till then). She got saved at South Mountain Baptist Camp when she was 9 years old. She met my dad (Dennis Carswell) when she was 15 and on their first date he looked her in the eyes and said "I'ma marry you". Three years later when she was 18 that happened. She had her first son, Chad Avery Carswell, on November 24, 1980 when she was 20. & on October 8, 1983 she had her second son, Andrew Ryan Carswell. Then she wasn't going to have anymore because she didn't think she would have a girl:) Then Daddy wanted one more kid and promised her it would be a girl. Good thing he kept his promise. Haha, nah.. I was born April 30, 1991. My mom has always been pretty awesome. We started going to church when I was 4 and she has always been Godly and upstanding in my eyes. She's a good person with a beautiful heart. She doesn't talk that much if she doesn't know you. && there is nothing in this world like her darling grandson, Clayton Avery Carswell.

I love my mom. & if she ever read blogs I would want her to know how much I love her and that when I say mean stuff, I don't mean it. It's just my anger. We all say stuff we don't mean. I wish I could take it back everytime after I say it. Because I know it has to hurt when your own child is mean to you.

I love you mom. More than anyone else ever could in this world.

I saw how fast God took Erin's mom & I don't want that to happen to you or me. I'm not as strong as Erin. (Erin is a girl I went to school with, we've been friends since 2nd grade).

However, if God does take you from me it will just show and prove to me that He only takes the best. Love ya Momma.

Yesterdayy

I love summertime and anything it involves. I love nothing more than to hang out with my friends:)

Yesterday was a random Thursday & me and my best friend Taylor decided to go eat Mexican Food & then find out what else we could do. So afterwards we went to the college to figure out her classes for the Nursing Program then we tried to think of something to do. We called The Jaynes Gang to see if they were home then grabbed our bathingsuits and headed up to Laurel Dr.

It was a good 30 minutes. So we listened to music and talked and laughed and did a lot of catching up that we needed because she has to work all the time. We jumped in the pool once we got there & snagged a few pics. Here are some of them:) Enjoy.

Me (obviously).. Taylor said she wanted to take a picture of how I looked here, so whatever:)
Me & Austin.
Me, Austin, & Taylor.

I love this picture.

Ha, this is me & Callie (T & Austin's little sister). She is my little sister in my heart. I would "fight a bear over her" as Joy Stewart (Daniel's wife) would say. This is my girl:)

Wagon Train Pictures

These pictures are in no order, whatsoever:)
Ahahahaa.. I actually got the pictures on my computer upclose and I busted out laughing:)
Josh hasn't rode a horse since he was a kid (I know this is a mule but he rode a horse too). He is as scared of them as I am (almost). He had one run away with him when he was a kid. Don't he look cute up on that thing?

Andrew & Madam:) I just love it.
This picture was an accident but I think it's so cool.. With the cross and then the "cowboy".. I don't know I just love photography like this.

Can you believe, I'm willingly going to stay in this next year?

I'm not sure if Chad was taking this picture or what.. If so, you need some practice brother. If not, hahaha I can understand if it was Dad. He calls himself an armature photographer. He makes me giggle.

This is a mule, his name is Buster. He is the biggest mule I have ever seen in all my born days.

Words can't describe God's country, so I'm not going to try.

Dusty in basketball shorts & boots. We had one of Wesley like this too but it's blurry. I don't know if this is them getting ready for bed or to go take a bath in the creek. Either way I find it amusing.

Mule behinds. haha, the view from the inside looking out. How would you like to stare at this for 7 days?
This is my brother Chad, the last picture I think we have of him on a horse he was way younger and the horses name was "Dusty" not "Uggums". .haha but he did have an orange shirt on!
This would be "Pawpaw" Daniel's house. It is so beautiful inside & out. Pretty pretty:)

This is the house we stayed in. It may not look big to you, but it's huge. Especially on the inside.. && What was cool was the 4 foot rooms upstairs!
This is a "family" picture. Even though I don't know two of the people in it. They seem to mean a lot to Dad. Bottom Row L2R: My SIL Trish, Middle Brother Andrew, My dad's friend Billy "Coleman". Second Row L2R: My mom, My dad, Me, & Dusty. Top Row L2R: My SIL Nikki, Oldest brother Chad, Nephew Clayton, & Coleman's son.

This is "Pawpaw" Daniel. I broke the news to him on the trip that he was adopted. He seemed happy. What everyone thinks is funny is he is only six years older than my dad. Oh & the horse is Clifford. He's a beaut!
Pictures of these mountains just don't describe their beauty to justice. It's fascinating! This one is my favorite that I took!

This is Detroit Kyle. We call him Detroit, well because he's from Detroit, Michigan. He's the Redneck Yankee. Oxymoron, sho'nuff! He's a sweet kid though.

This is just Dusty & Andrew goofing off.

I made a friend while I was there. He was always at the house. But he wouldn't come out and say bye when we left, I figure he thought we were coming back. I named him Rusty. It's strange because I normally don't like dogs all that much but I rather enjoyed him. I wanted to bring him home"/
This is Clayton's first horse ride ever!!
I looked up Robbinsville on Google Earth & this chicken was in front of the Texaco. && I was excited about seeing the giant chicken in front of the Texaco:)
This is Daniel's pasture. Where his Holstein Hippopotamus (Clifford) stays. Literally, his fence post are like three feet high.Jamie's a picture freak:) haha.. so I took a bunch coming home. This is just to prove when you are outside up there you have to look up everywhere. & I love it.

It's like I'm homesick for a place I don't even live. I love this place. Dad said that we may be going back in a couple weeks:) That makes me more happy than you will ever know.

Pictures as promised......

Eh, not so much. I honestly don't feel like it. Sorry, I have had one of those days where you just want to sit on your couch in your night gown and watch Phineas & Ferb marathons.. Well not Phineas & Ferb for most people.. but I would:) Because they are amazing!ferb Pictures, Images and Photos
"there's a hundred and four days of summer vacation and school comes along just to end it so the annaul problem for our generation is finding a good way to spend it like maybe building a rocket or fighting a mummy or climbing up the eiffel tower discovering something that doesn't exist or hey giving a monkey a shower, surffing tidal waves, creating nanobots, or locating Frankenstein's brain "it's over here" finding a dodo bird, painting a continent, or driving your sister insane. As you can see there's a whole lot of stuff to do before school starts this fall, so sitck with us cause Phineas & Ferb are gonna do it all:) stick with us because Phineas & Ferb are gonna do it all!"
I may or may not be a huge fan of this show.
PHINEAS AND FERB Pictures, Images and Photos
Ferb is my celebrity crush:) Fo'real.
Ferb Pictures, Images and Photos
How could he not be? He has an english accent... It's a given:)
Either way, I love this show:) I may or may not watch it everyday!!

There is two pictures I want to post from the wagon train.. just because I hold them slightly dear to me. They are pretty precious *in my opinion entirely.Photobucket
This is my Clayton & Chad:) Clayton's first horseride ever! It's so precious.

Photobucket

& this is Chad & Andrew *Uggums & Madam are the horses:) I think it sortah just shows the "brotherhood", I don't know it's sweet.

July 4, 2009:)

Hi my blogosphere:) I am alive. I am here! Just thought I would drop in & say that. I would have told you where I was going but I couldn't get the video uploaded in time before I left. Sorry, about that.

SO .. about the fourth.
On the fourth 13 years ago to that day my Pawpaw died. (Dad's dad). Just thought I would share that with you because it's important. I was 5 and the last memory I have of him is kissing him on the cheek:) The most precious memory that I could have.

I spent my fourth in Robbinsville, North Carolina. If you looked them up on google you would be saying "why in the world would you go there?" and I must say I loved it. I got to spend fourth with my Dad & brothers & plenty of other people that I love so dearly (I'll get pictures up tomorrow!). It was way fun & my SIL, Nikki, & nephew, Clayton, surprised my brother, Chad, by showing up for the "parade". Brother Daniel's wife, Joy, said normally the parade is amazing up there and packed out but there just wasn't really one this year, that everyone canceled. So the parade was just the wagon train. Still yet cool. Clayton had his first horse ride with his daddy!! Way adorable and awesome.

As you may be thinking why I would go there (other than the fact that I miss my dad & brothers).. I must say Daniel took us up to one of his friends houses, who has an amazing view, and let us watch the fireworks. I videoed them but it will never do them justice. (I'll try to upload the video later). It is the most amazing fireworks I have ever seen in my life. I have seen them over Lake James (which is beautiful) and over the ocean @ Oak Island (which is still pretty). But there was nothing like sitting on top of that mountain (literally I was on the grass) & watching them. I want to go back next year and watch the fireworks from there. It was BEAUTIFUL! && the echo was the best part. It sounded throughout the mountains all around you and it was just like and echo circle. The video doesn't let you hear it but it was amazing. You go outside and look up and it's mountians. Daniel's pasture is part of a mountain. It's just AWESOME!

I have decided that if I can get off work next year, I'm going on that wagon train...

@ Daniel's church this morning (Cedar Cliff Baptist Church) they had an awesome Independence Day service. && this women sung this song (with help from the choir which = AMAZING! I honestly looked at this woman in the choir and I knew she could sing! But this song is amazing (to me) for the fourth. It's truth. and we had service when she got to the second verse ;)

Read it all the way through before you say "this is boring".

Statue of Liberty
In New York Harbor stands a lady
With a torch raised to the sky;
And all who see her know she stands for
Liberty for you and me.
I’m so proud to be an American,
To be named with the brave and the free.
I will honor the flag and our trust in God,
And the Statue of Liberty.
On lonely Golgotha stood a cross,
With my Lord raised to the sky;
And all who kneel there live forever,
As all the saved can testify.
I’m so glad to be called a Christian,
To be named with the ransomed and whole.
As the Statue liberates the citizen,
So the Cross liberates the soul.
Oh, the Cross is my Statue of Liberty,
It was there that my soul was set free.
Unashamed I’ll proclaim that a rugged cross
Is my Statue of Liberty.

How awesome and true is that?

Oh my goodness it's Wednesday!

I just realized that it was Wednesday & I have tons to do.
-shower
-washing and drying clothes so I have something to wear
-feeding up the animals

Well I got most of it done. Wednesdays feel like such short days because we have church at night. I fed up the animals. I had to carry the water house all the way across the yard because the waterhose broke up at the pump house to water the donkeys (because of my brother Chad we have more mouths to feed & Jamie has an extra chore :) thanks Brother). This waterhose ordeal wouldn't have happened if our pump house waterhose wouldn't have broke. Yesterday I had to carry the water to them in a five gallon bucket (so fun).

Okay you don't care about this.. haha sorry.

You know what? The whole time my brothers beautiful loud truck was sitting in our driveway and Mom thought it didn't have collision. She misunderstood and it has 0 something. To where you don't have to pay if it gets hurt. "/ I could've been driving it all this time!! But it's okay. My awesome SIL, Nikki, took the temptation from me today. So I got the Neon:) That works. I have memories with that car, haha that's what I drove to get my license.

So how is everyone's day?

Brother Tom Shuford is preaching at our church tonight since Dad is out of town this week. I told him to call Tanner Mondee (spelt that wrong) hahaha.. But he didn't. LOL

Okay I'm done embarrassing myself. See ya!
